Tour itinerary

DAY 1: Cusco – Huchuy Qosqo.

Our great adventure begins early at 07:30. We pick you up from your hotel and transport you by van towards the Qenqo community, where our hike begins. Enjoy spectacular views of the Peruvian Andes landscape during the journey, with stops for photographs. We’ll navigate through various mountains and hills, glimpsing the imposing snow-capped peaks of the Sacred Valley of the Incas until we reach Leon Punku at 3850m. Descend for 2 hours on the Inca trail to reach the former Inca village of Huchuy Qosqo. Finally, head to the lodge in this villages for an overnight stay

Day 2: Huchuy Qosqo – Ollantaytambo

Wake up amidst the mountains with a unique view of the sacred valley. Share breakfast with local products and explore the magical citadel for an 4 hours,  then start descending to the town of Lamay and take transport to have lunch in the local restaurant, later forward on the way to Ollantaytambo.

Day 3: Intipunku.

Begin your thrilling day bright and early at 07:00. Start with a scenic walk to the Inca Bridge, setting the tone for an exciting journey. Ascend to the iconic Inca quarry of Cachiqata, and marvel at the historical significance it holds. The journey continues with a steady climb to Intipunku, where you’ll be treated to an awe-inspiring panoramic view of the majestic apu Veronica mountain and the aprwling valley below.  After a rewarding 4-hour trek to Intipunku, descend for 3 hours, making your way back to Ollantaytambo. The adventure culminates as you board the train to Machu Picchu, rounding off an unforgettable day filled with exploration and breathtaking landscapes.

Day 4: Machupicchu

Very early in the morning having your breakfast at you hotel, we will board the bus uphill towards the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu, once entered to the archaeological park we will be heading towards the viewpoint to appreciate more widely, the charming panorama of our destination , after enjoying these unique landscape we will begin the tour always leaded by our tour guide who will be showing us through the most important areas of the sanctuary for an average of 3 ½ hours of guided, later we will be board the bus down to Machu Picchu town where you will have free time for lunch and wonder  around the city by yourself, late in the afternoon we will board the train back to Ollantaytambo.

From this point our transportation will be transporting us on the way back till your hotel in Cusco City.

What to bring

You should bring:

  • Backpack with rain cover (35-45 liters)
  • Clothing for warm and cold climates
  • Original passport and ISIC student card
  • Sleeping bag below freezing
  • Sun hat, woolly hat, long- and short-sleeved T-shirts, fleece jacket, hard shell jacket, trekking pants, shorts, pajama pants, underwear
  • Trekking shoes/boots, slippers/sandals
  • Woolen/synthetic socks, flashlight/headlamp, water bottle, trekking towels, toilet paper.
  • Bathing suit, sunscreen, insect repellent, hand cleaner/disinfecting alcohol gel.
  • Camera, snacks, money in soles (approx. 400), small lock, plastic bags, rain poncho.
  • Spare clothes for changing since the weather can be cold and rainy.
